What is Cold Fermented Tea?

Cold Fermented Tea is a herbal fruit tea that may or may not contain tea leaves. Its distinctive feature is the fermentation process that takes place without heat, which not only preserves the tea’s vitamins, minerals, and enzymes but also the living microbiota to create a probiotic product that can be stored at room temperature for at least two years. The nutrients in the tea are broken down into small particles, which makes it easy for the body to absorb. Consequently, Cold Fermented Tea is an ideal option for replenishing essential minerals and aiding the digestive system while reducing its workload.

STORY

2017

Tea House Hanoi initially focused on organic loose tea. However, as creative individuals with a passion for fermentation and a strong background in tea and culinary skills, our friends at Wecreate Vietnam encouraged us to explore the creation of a bottled tea that would be both refreshing and healthy. After experimenting with several methods, we decided to ferment fruit juice and blend it with tea concentrate to produce a cold fruit tea, which we named Cold Fermented Tea.
This probiotic tea can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks.

2018

Due to the excitement and overwhelming support from our customers, we had planned to launch a new range of products – Cold Fermented Tea – in the summer of 2018. However, we ended up postponing the launch due to our own confusion. After reading several books about different dietary methods that advised against sugary drinks, we began to question the healthiness of our product. As a company committed to selling healthy products, we knew we had to be certain. Therefore, we took some time off to conduct further research and reconsider our product.

2019

As we approached 2019, Tea House Hanoi’s focus on environmental consciousness grew, considering the entire production and consumption cycle, from land to sea and air. We aimed to create probiotic products that could be preserved at room temperature for at least 2 years to minimize waste of good ingredients and non-renewable energy sources. Our goal was to preserve precious locally grown ingredients to the last drop while also making it convenient and cost-effective for customers.
Even in the worst-case scenario, if someone doesn’t enjoy our Cold Fermented Tea, they can safely turn it into vinegar or sauce or use it to make enzymes for watering plants, which is also great. Finally, we achieved our dream of creating a probiotic drink made from the best local seasonal ingredients that can be stored at room temperature for at least two years, helping to balance the body and soul. Too good to be true!

2020

In summer 2020, we confidently introduced Cold Fermented Tea in multiple variations designed to quench thirst, balance the body, provide warmth, nurture the body, and relieve coughing. Even if you have type 2 diabetes, you can try fermented tea by diluting it further and observing your body’s reaction. Some research suggests that Kombucha, a similar fermented tea, may have benefits for type II diabetes patients, but further verification is needed.

Summary:

Cold Fermented Tea in 2017 and after taking time to further research and reconsider their product, they successfully launched it in multiple variations in 2020. Their focus on environmental consciousness led them to create probiotic products that could be preserved at room temperature for at least 2 years while minimizing waste of good ingredients and non-renewable energy sources. Cold Fermented Tea is a dream come true for Tea House Hanoi, and they invite everyone to try it, even suggesting that it may be beneficial for type II diabetes patients, although further verification is needed.
